And this ladies and gentlemen is why the mainstream press is such a failure.
They’re nothing but liars.
Two months after breaking this “scandalous” story about President Trump demanding a Georgia investigator find voter fraud, they admit they got it wrong.
And blatantly lied.
WaPo admits they received faulty info from an anonymous source and ran a FAKE story.
The only problem is that this changes nothing.
We’re two months into Biden’s presidency and fake news outlets like WaPo did their part brainwashing half the public.
Their admitted fake news story is a prime example of how far our mainstream media has fallen.

Hey @ErikWemple, why does WaPo’s source in this story still deserve the protection of anonymity?
The reporters got this story very wrong and misattributed false quotes to the President of the United States.
This source should be named, right?https://t.co/BBR2xNZ0qO

Recording Disproves WaPo Claim Trump Pressured Georgia Officials to ‘Find the Fraud’ https://t.co/iZ78enG0dw

Will WaPo ever name their anonymous source?
Don’t count on it.
The liars will protect other liars.
But nobody is really surprised by this.
It’s just hysterical to watch the mainstream media finally admit for once they’re a bunch of liars.
Daily Caller reported:
The Washington Post issued a lengthy correction after published audio revealed it misquoted former President Donald Trump regarding his phone call with Frances Watson, the chief investigator of the Georgia secretary of state’s office.
The report, first published in January, accused Trump of telling Watson to “find the fraud” and lauding her as “a national hero” if she was able to find any. While the audio did show Trump claiming he won the 2020 election and suggesting Watson would be “praised” after the “right answer” was revealed, The Post’s original quotes turned out to be fake news.
“Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator,” The Post’s article now reads at the top of the story. “The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source. Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so.”
“Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there,” the correction continued. “He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.’”
The Post noted that both its headline and text of the original article were “corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump.” Additionally, the publication wrote a subsequent story about the recording.
The newspaper’s incorrect quotes were attributed to an anonymous source back in December. Audio of Trump’s phone call with Watson came about after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced a criminal investigation surrounding the former president’s aim to overturn the 2020 election results.
And from PJ Media:
Many on the Left interpreted the quote to mean Trump was pressuring Raffensperger to illegally find votes to overturn the results. The Washington Post even suggested the call itself could constitute obstruction of justice.
The Washington Post has now issued a major correction to the original story after a recording of the call proved Trump never said such things.
“Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting that she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now,’” the correction reads.
Another phone call between Trump and Raffensperger in January was recorded and leaked to the media, but state officials claimed that they didn’t believe a recording of the December call existed. However, “officials located the recording on a trash folder on [investigator Frances] Watson’s device while responding to a public records request, according to a person familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the internal process.”
So, Georgia officials admitted that they made a recording of the call, then they claimed there wasn’t one, and then they said they found a recording in a trash folder. Did the Washington Post make up the fake quotes or did someone in the Georgia Secretary of State’s office make them up? Or perhaps it was collusion between them? Someone had to make up the fake quotes.
