Trump Speaks Out After The Washington Post Corrects Their Story That Lied About Trump’s Call With Georgia Official

Remember that quote “find the fraud” that was being passed around on liberal media.

Well, the Washington Post just admitted that President Trump never said: “find the fraud” on his phone call with a Georgia election official.

They made it all up!

In their correction, the Washington Post stated “Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so”.

After finding out about the Post’s retraction President Trump thanked the Washington Post for making the correction but then gave them a piece of his mind saying “You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans”.

Here’s President Trump’s full statement regarding the Washington Post’s correction:

The New York Post covered the story and dropped these details:

President Donald Trump said Monday that the Washington Post’s now-admitted misquoting of his December phone call with a Georgia elections investigator was a “media travesty.”

But Trump said in an emailed statement, “I thank the Washington Post for the correction.”

The then-president’s post-election call with the election investigator was widely described as evidence that he pressured state officials to dishonestly subvert President Biden’s victory and the will of voters. But the Washington Post’s correction — after the audio file was discovered in a state official’s electronic trash folder — undermined the seemingly most damning quotes that had been attributed to him.

“You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans,” Trump said.

The correction substantially altered the reporting on the phone call, which was politically explosive for seeming to show Trump scheming to overthrow an election.

“Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source,” the correction published Thursday began.

“Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so.

News Max got the full scoop too:

A controversial December phone call between then-President Donald Trump and a top Georgia official was initially “misquoted” by The Washington Post and then widely disseminated before the release of the call’s audio last week prompted a major mea culpa.

Audio of the approximately 6-minute call between Trump and Frances Watson, the chief investigator of the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, was published by The Wall Street Journal on March 11 and shows Trump never told anyone on the call to “find the fraud,” as was reported at the time.

In the recording of the Dec. 23 call, Trump told Watson she had the most important job in the country at the time and urged her investigators to review signatures going back several years, according to the recording, the Journal reported.

While her audit was focused on Cobb County, he said she should look at Fulton County, the state’s most populous county that includes most of Atlanta.

“If you can get to Fulton, you are going to find things that are going to be unbelievable,” Trump said, the recording showed.

Later on March 11, the Post, above its report about the newly released audio, added a correction for its original story.

“The recording revealed that the Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source,” it said. “Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud,’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so.

It’s more surprising that the Washington Post corrected their lie than finding out they lied.

The reason being is because the Washington Post has been pumping out lies for years now.
